About
Prof. Dr. Biswabina Ray is currently serving as the Dean of
Research and Head of Anatomy at All India Institute of Medical Sciences,
Kalyani, India. With an illustrious academic background holding MBBS, MS, and
MNAMS qualifications, Dr. Ray emerged as a national scholar, securing 52nd and
95th ranks in 10th and 12th board examinations respectively. Having completed
postgraduation from the prestigious Banaras Hindu University (BHU), Dr. Ray
began her professional journey with a house staff ship in gynecology and
obstetrics.
Throughout her career, Dr. Ray has contributed significantly to the
field, having worked in esteemed institutions such as AIIMS Bhopal, KMC
Manipal, and KGMC Lucknow. She served as the Head of the Department of Anatomy
at ESICMC-PGIMSR, Bangalore for over 5 years, and has received specialized
training in Genetics from SGPGI Lucknow and AIIMS, New Delhi.
Currently, Dr. Ray holds key roles as the Dean of Research, Nodal
Officer of Multidisciplinary Research Unit, and Head of the Department of
Anatomy at AIIMS Kalyani. Her areas of interest encompass teratology,
embryology, genetics, and functional anatomy. With a notable research profile,
Dr. Ray has authored over 52 publications, including significant contributions
