The Society of Nepalese Anatomists (SONA) welcomes all anatomists, and supporting physicians involved in anatomical sciences. SONA provides a platform to establish professional relationship between anatomists to help your work career life.

Classes and Eligibility of Membership

Life Member

Any person who is presently employed (or was engaged in the past) as a teacher in the subject of Anatomy for teaching of undergraduate and / or postgraduate students in a university, recognized institution, shall be eligible for enrollment as Life Member. on payment of the Life membership subscription.

 

Regular (Annual) Member

Any person who has a special interest on Human Anatomy shall be eligible for enrollment as Regular member, for one calendar year (January to December), on payment of the Regular Ordinary membership subscription.

Postgraduate students after passing their degree are eligible to become life members. Please attach a certificate from the Head of the department with details of joining and completing the postgraduate degree/course.

Membership Subscription

The membership subscriptions are for Life and Regular members only. The membership fee will be as decided by General Body of SONA from time to time.

• Life Member including Enrollment Fee NRs.11500 (For Nepalese Citizen), USD 100 (SAARC Countries Citizen) and Other Nationality USD 200.
• Regular (Annual) Member including Enrollment Fee NRs. 2000 (For Nepalese Citizen), USD 20 (SAARC Countries Citizen) and Other Nationality USD 30.

All membership fee shall be non-refundable and non-transferable.

Process

Applicant should have the following documents ready before proceeding to apply:

SONA membership form filled online

Soft copies of MD/MSc Certificate in Clinical Anatomy and Copy of Citizenship/Passport. PDF or JPG/PNG. (Max 5MB)

Soft copy of passport size photograph in colour in JPG/PNG. (Max 2MB)

Soft Copy Bank Deposit Slip/screenshot payment slip (PNG/JPG) or PDF.

 

Fully completed applications will be processed within 2-3 working days after you had uploaded the required documentation. Membership fees should have been received before the application is forwarded to the committee for approval as per the categories of membership.

 

Benefits Life Members:

This member will have a right to vote in elections and stand for elections and attend the annual general body meetings.

Life Member will be able to blog (i.e., express your opinion/experience to fellow members online. And other members will be encouraged to give their views).

Life Member can contribute articles to SONA Journal for publication, which will be useful when you apply for your promotion in your services, scholarship, and jobs.
